On the 24th-25th September 2025 took place in Bratislava, already the third consecutive meeting of representatives of Czech Charity and Charity Slovakia, which participate in the project “Distance Adoption / Adoption on Dialka”. This project, which aims to support education and improve the living conditions of children in developing countries, unites Charityble organizations from both countries in an effort to improve the social conditions of children in developing countries through specific targeted financial support.
The meeting was attended by representatives of regional Charity from all over the Czech Republic that are involved in this project – Charity Plzeň, Charity Hradec Králové, Charity Opava, Archdiocesan Charity Olomouc, and this year for the first time Charity Praha, which is at the very birth of this project as part of of the Czech Republic and Charity Slovensko, which implements and covers this project and for the entire Slovak Republic.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, which was enhanced by the generous hospitality of the Slovak Charity, which was the host and organizer of the entire program. The participants appreciated not only the organizational arrangement, but also the spiritual dimension of the meeting by participating in the Holy Mass in the chapel of the Setters of the Most Holy Saviour, which strengthened the common interest in supporting needy children and families. In addition to working meetings, the program also included a cultural element – a historical tour of Bratislava, which offered the participants the opportunity to get to know the city better and strengthen mutual relations in an informal environment.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged experiences and observations from the implementation of the Remote Adoption / Dial-up Adoption project. Successes, challenges and possibilities to further develop and improve the project were discussed. In this context, the issue of effective sharing of work procedures and experience between individual Charity also opened up.
At the end, a proposal for a moratorium on mutual sharing of work experience between Czech and Slovak Charity was presented. This proposal was accepted for further comments and fine-tuning with the aim of obtaining the signature of the directors of the individual Charity. The joint moratorium should thus serve to further improve the coordination of activities and strengthen cooperation between Czech Charity and Charity Slovakia when working on this important project.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, but also a symbol of the deep partnership between Charity of the Czech Republic and Charity of Slovakia, which continues to be united by a common vision of helping those in need.
