The exhibition of photographs and handicrafts will take you to Haiti
Olomouc – Life of the ordinary Haitians, the colourful and dark side of the poor Caribbean country will be shown at the exhibition which will last until February 28. Exhibition is named All Colours of Hope or How Haiti (doesn’t) lose schoolchildren. The exhibition was opened yesterday at the Research library in Olomouc.
Visitors will be able to look at large-format photographs of Jiří Pasz and also at handicrafts such as wooden jars, seashell earrings, straw bags, painted canvases… You can see there school uniforms, schools text books and books in creole language. The lives of some Haitians are highly affected by the help of the Archdiocesan Caritas Olomouc and specially Czech donors.
Thanks to the Child Sponsorship Project, the poorest children can go to school where they get education and also a warm food. Before the food crisis started, it was the only warm meal per day for many children. In this difficult time, Haitians need this kind of help much more…
