Come to the Jungmannova Branch of the Olomouc City Library to gain new knowledge about Haiti. From March 1 to April 30, 2022, you will be able to see the exhibition ALL COLORS OF HOPE or how Haiti is (not) losing its schoolchildren.
The exhibition depicts the fate of children and adults from the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, which can be compared to an African region by its development. Haiti is best known for the devastating earthquake in 2010 and Hurricane Matthew in 2016. However, even now, in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic and following a series of devastating earthquakes that hit the south of the country in July 2021, it is not much better off. But people here are happy, value family and health, and take everything with stoic calm. So the “Pearl of the Caribbean” continues to shine, and a mixture of colours and scents breathe on you from the photographs of Jiri Paz.
