Dear adoptive parents, esteemed donors, and friends,  

At this time when we celebrate Easter—the holiday of hope, light, and new life—we think of you with deep gratitude. We send you greetings from faraway Haiti. The photograph in the enclosed greeting captures much more than just a school day. It represents all the children whose lives are being changed by the support from the Czech Republic. Thanks to Caritas and its donors, the girl with the pink schoolbag has the opportunity for an education, a supportive environment, and, above all, the certainty that someone is thinking of her.

The light of the resurrection becomes a reality for our wards precisely through generosity and kindness. Anyone who helps them overcome difficulties and open the way to a better future is the embodiment of this light.

We wish that the joy and peace of the Easter holidays fill your hearts and your homes. Thank you for forming a community with us that can make the world a better place.
