Haiti – March is Book Month. Children from Haiti also like to count. For example, the Czech fairy tale The Ant broke. The Archdiocesan Charity Olomouc not only provides schoolchildren with textbooks, but sometimes also enriches the school bookcase. The tale of the ant was brought by humanitarian workers to schools in Gonaïves and Baie de Henne during their last mission (Autumn 2016). However, Haitian children speak the rhyme in French, and František Kožíšek’s fairy tale is translated into such a language. It is accompanied by illustrations by Zdenek Miller.
